It's been a long time coming....

Finally!  I've found a reason to write a blog!  I'm currently obsessively researching our family history.  In fact, I'm doing a Family History course through UTAS, and it includes Photo Essay and Writing Family History units.  Soooo.... what better way to use a blog than to post some of what I'm learning in the course, and in the course of my research.  Stay tuned... (well, maybe if anyone was actually reading this, that might apply...)... or here goes (which probably is more appropriate given that I'm the only one likely to read any of it).  :)

First time blogger

Well, this is my first foray into the world of blogging. I've used Flickr and Redbubble for years, and have chatted on various networking sites, but haven't made the time to "blog" before.

This is really just a tryout message to make sure that I've actually set something up here... so I won't say too much for now.
